DCode is a Lightweight Markup Language that you can use to format the text entered into the COG™ admin, it is similar in style to (X)HTML, whereby text formatting is represented using tags. DCode tags are denoted by [square brackets] rather than < and > and it allows a great amount of flexibility over the way your information is displayed.

The COG™ admin suite has a toolbar attached to DCode areas to help you format your text correctly, I highly recommend using it at all times as it will create the correct tags every time!


Inline tags

"Inline tags" are tags that do not alter the flow of text, that is to say they can be mid-sentence without causing breaks in the text.

Bold, Italic, Underline and Strike
[B] for bold
[I] for italic
[U] for underline
[S] for strikethrough

Example:

  The [B]quick[/B] brown [I]fox[/I] jumps over the [U]lazy[/U] [S]dog[/S]
  
  becomes
  
  The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
Superscript and Subscript
[SUP] for superscript
[SUB] for subscript

Example:

Creating Links
[url] to create a link

Example: Linking to an internal page

"Block tags" are tags that modify the flow of text by adding "breaks" either before or after the tag
